 V:28

Aurora Infernalis - V:28V:28 is a Norwegian industrial death/black metal with an apocalyptic and cold atmosphere to it. The band was founded by Kristoffer Oustad and Eddie Risdal in 2002. The concept of the band is based upon a prophecy about the deconstruction and transformation of Earth. The first demo "Time Is Empty" was recorded in April 2002. V:28 played their debut concert with Enslaved in May 2002.

In June 2003 V:28 recorded their debutalbum and the first album in a trilogy, "NonAnthropogenic", with LRZ (Red Harvest) as producer. The album features an exclusive gues appearance by Grutle Kjellson from Enslaved. After the recording of the "NonAnthropogenic" album V:28 played at the Hole In The Sky metal festival 2003 in Bergen, with bands such as Samael, Enslaved, Satyricon, Gorgoroth and Arcturus. In September 2003 V:28 signed a contract with the American label Vendlus Records. At this time Atle Johansen was recruited as a full time bass player.

V:28 started to record their second album, entitled "SoulSaviour", in November 2004. Once again LRZ was chosen to produce and mix the album. On this album V:28 worked with some other bands as well, such as the legendary industrial acts Deutsch Nepal and Raison d'être, and the Norwegian cult band When. 2005 was also the first year V:28 played outside Norway, with one gig in Denmark and headlining a festival in Kiel, Germany.

The third and final album in the trilogy, ”VioLution”, saw the light of day in September 2007. On this album V:28 continued to explore and expand their sound, and collaborated with artists such as Kristoffer Garm Rygg (Ulver), G.G.F.H. and MZ.412. For this release V:28 worked with a film crew to do a professional video for the track ”Shut It Down”.
